WHO WE ARE

Kindgrain Studio is a small design and fabrication studio specializing in custom cabinetry, built-ins, and full-scope kitchen and bathroom renovations. We blend fine craftsmanship with creative technology to produce spaces and objects that are both functional and artful. Beyond interiors, we provide fine art services and creative project management, partnering with artists, curators, and cultural organizations to realize ambitious installations and design concepts. From consultation and 2D design to fabrication and installation, we offer a seamless, detail-oriented process — guided by respect, precision, and care in every stage.

MEET OUR FOUNDER

Kindgrain Studio was founded by Carre Adams, a designer, fabricator, and cultural producer with more than a decade of experience leading creative projects at the intersection of art, design, and community. Raised in a family of builders, masons, and hands-on problem solvers, Carre learned early that craftsmanship is both a discipline and a form of care — a way of bringing ideas to life with precision, patience, and purpose.

Before founding Kindgrain, Carre directed exhibitions, public programs, and large-scale creative initiatives for cultural institutions, working closely with artists, architects, and fabricators to realize complex installations and spatial designs. That background in museum leadership and fine art production informs Kindgrain’s holistic approach to fabrication — where form, function, and story are integrated from concept to completion.

Kindgrain is my way of honoring that inheritance. Of cultivating what was passed down and taking it to new levels — through design, intention, and care. Everything we build is part of that lineage. Every project is a continuation of that story.

Kindgrain Studio is rooted in generations of quiet craftsmanship. Our founders great-grandfather was a builder and his grandfather was a mason. If they’d been born in a different time, they might have been architects or engineers. But titles aside, they shaped the world with their hands — building homes, laying stone, and solving problems with the resources available to them.
